Service Description
The After Work Special was designed for those who live a busy work and/or home lifestyle and might only have a few hours to fish during the week. Join seasoned guide Josh Rayner for a late afternoon/evening/nighttime kayak fishing trip at an hourly rate! The After Work Special is available Monday through Thursday evenings, 4 pm or later launch time, from May to mid October. Choose how many people are in your party (3 max.) and the duration (2 hour. minimum). Trips can be extended beyond 4 hours by request for an additional fee. Each client will be equipped with their own very comfortable, stable, well maintained, and easy to use pedal driven Hobie Outback. Each client will also be equipped with the appropriate fishing gear, bait, safety gear, and foul weather gear, a dry bag to store extra clothing or valuables, as well as bottled waters and snacks. These trips are largely focused on inshore striped bass, but depending on the time of year, other species may be targeted as well, including bluefish, blackfish, weakfish, albies, and bonito. Connecticut River Freshwater trips are also available. Pay the deposit online and pay the balance in person the day of the trip. Rates vary by duration of trip and number of participants. (Once booking is scheduled online, expect a phone call from Josh to discuss your trip options. Future correspondence will be via phone call and/or text up until the trip date. Location and exact time will be confirmed no later than 8 pm the night before the trip. Date, time, and location are subject to change on short notice.)
Cancellation Policy
•A non-refundable deposit is required to book (You may change trip date(s) if necessary) •Please allow a minimum of 48 hours notice for postponement/cancellation •50% of Session Price is due if Postponing/Canceling less than 48 hours before the trip -OR- "No Call/No Show" •Exact trip time and location will be confirmed via phone call/text by 8pm the night before the trip •For your convenience, In-Person Payments can be made via Cash, Venmo, PayPal, or Credit Card •Trip date, time, and location are subject to change on short notice due to weather and/or conditions •Clients are welcome to use their own fishing gear and pedal/motorized kayak if suitable (no discount) •Custom trips available upon request (duration, multi-location, multi-species, multi-day, etc.) •CT Fish Nerd, LLC is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property of clients •Clients are required to reimburse CT Fish Nerd, LLC for any lost rods and reels at 15% depreciation off retail price •Clients age 12 and younger must be accompanied on the trip by an adult/guardian •Clients age 13-17 must have written permission to participate if not accompanied by an adult/guardian •Kayak seats have a 275 lb. weight limit. Please contact if any member of your party exceeds this limit •Participants must all sign a liability waiver prior to entering the fishing kayak •CT Fish Nerd, LLC reserves the right to refuse service if client is impaired, intoxicated, or a safety risk in any way
